Joining Wednesbury CC
Wednesbury C.C are currently playing in Division 1 of the Staffordshire League.
International Cricket was played at Wednesbury CC during the early eighties when we hosted 2 ICC World Cup qualification matches (16th June 1982, Bermuda v Malaysia and 13th June 1986, Bangladesh v Kenya). Wednesbury's First Team also posted an historic victory in 1986 when they defeated Hong Kong in a warm-up match. A number of Overseas teams have played fixtures at Wednesbury CC over the years and in 2006 we hosted matches against the Indian Turf Academy and Dubai United CC.
We are particularly active in encouraging youth cricket with with teams in the following age groups - under 11, under 13, under 15 and under 17. Anyone interested should contact Youth Cricket Organiser - Chris Williams (williamschris@msn.com)
